Was in Princeton, IL visiting friends and ordered delivery from here around 11pm on a Friday night. Gave them my credit card info over the phone and the address and they said it will be there within the hour. 12:30 rolls around and still haven't received our order so we call, and we call, and we call. No one picks up. Finally someone answers the phone on the 3rd try, we give them our address and tell them the pizza hasn't arrived yet. They said its "on its way, should be there shortly". I reply and tell her that the person who took my order said it would be here within the hour. She said she didn't know why someone would tell me that because their pizza never is delivered within the hour. Ok. Its now 1am and still no pizza. Call them back and they say again that it should arrive "shortly". My friend, who's house I am staying at, decides to call them back and complain. They proceed to tell him that they have no order for Princeton IL. What have we been waiting 2 hrs for then? My friend tells them they will not be ordering from their restaurant ever again and the same lady says "ok, well we don't really care" and then hangs up! I've never experienced such unprofessional-ism before. No wonder they have such bad reviews on Yelp.

I'm going to up this review two more stars because the quality of the pizza has gotten better since the last time I wrote a review. I love their pizza. I really do but it pisses me off when they are super busy or whatever and it takes forever to get one pizza delivered. Their pizza is my favorite out of all other pizza places though and that is why I keep coming back. I am addicted to it. I have not had any issues with them lately. I've stopped ordering from La Grottos though because their pizza has gotten bad lately. I hate it when places get new cooks. For now though I have been appeased by the service and quality of Alfano's pizza even though my dad and brother say they make their pizzas smaller than they used to. Their other food is good too. I couldn't tell you about anything with beef or pork because I don't eat that but everything else is very good.

Horrible service... I just called today at 9:16pm to order a Large pepperoni pizza... The lady gave me my total and said 45min for delivery... Remind you I live in the same town that the restaurant is in. After an hour and 10 minutes I called to check on my pizza and they told me it was going in the oven right now... Really after over an hour it's just going in the oven... They sounded busy but don't tell me 45min and then I call after an hour to check on it and it's just now going in! I said forget it I don't want it now! They tried telling me I couldn't cancel it! Are you serious I'm not paying for a pizza that I have to wait two hours for! Now if there was maybe a little discount or something then possibly I could of waited but not even a sorry or anything! Finally after I kept telling them I'm not waiting for a pizza for 2hrs they finally said fine and hung up! Horrible customer service a sorry would of been nice! I know your busy but no one should have to wait two hours for a pizza that's ridiculous!

I have been ordering from here forever, at least ten years, and for the first time it was a mistake. It took an hour and a half for the food to arrive. I told them to go to the back door when I called because the front has furniture in front of it. They driver later called again to verify, and I told him to go to the back. Again, he went to the front. I yelled through the door to go to the back. When he got to the back he asked me to remove my own food from the bag. Then, I called to complain because it took over an hour and a half to arrive and they didn't follow my instructions. My food was also cold. The manager hung up on me twice with my complaint and told me "all was resolved." This will be the last time I order from them.

I LOVE this pizza. Unfortunately, if you have it delivered you could wait an hour before you get it. And They have screwed up the toppings on my order on a regular basis. I'll eat anything on a pizza, but even I'm starting to get fed up....

Worst restaurant I've ever been in. Waited an hour for pasta. Complained to the manager and I'm still waiting for him to come out of hiding. DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!!!

Prices seem reasonable. The town is depressing a bit, appears to be home of a walmart distribution center, several store fronts totally vacant. Place is more of a carryout than an eat in, but apparently a karaoke place, though that part is covered in paperwork. "Waiter" was playing video poker when we came in, but can't blame him, what else is there to do in this town at 2:20 in the afternoon. For some bizarre reason you can get tacos here. My son ordered a BLT basket. My daughter and I are splitting a chix Parma sub and moz stix. Canned mushrooms on sub. All in all not bad for what you expect. Final bill $16. Better than a chain.

Nothing fancy here, but the food came fast, and the pizza was very good. I liked the "thin" crust a lot, even though it wasn't really thin. We basically ordered a 12" garbage pizza. The waitress told us they tend to oversize, and she's right! This pizza was way more than enough for my wife and me. We also ordered the fried pickles and they were great! We took a chance on this place in spite of the poor reviews. Those were mainly about delivery issues, so we didn't worry about them too much. So, good pizza, and we would not hesitate to return. A good choice if you're not looking for anything fancy. Prices were fair, by the way.
